In light of the recent COVID-19 restrictions, Telluride Veterinary Clinic has been impacted by an Executive Order as follows:
Medical, Dental and Veterinary licensees under the Division of Professions and Occupations at DORA are impacted.
Procedures in those professions may take place only under the following conditions:
-There is a threat to the patient’s life if the surgery or procedure is not performed.
-There is a threat of permanent dysfunction of an extremity or organ system if the surgery or procedure is not performed.
-There is a risk of metastasis or progression of staging of a disease or condition if a surgery or procedure is not performed.
-There is a risk that the patient’s condition will rapidly deteriorate if the surgery or procedure is not performed, and there is a threat to life, or to an extremity or organ system, or of permanent dysfunction or disability.
Only individuals essential to conducting a surgery or procedure will be allowed in the surgery, procedure suite, or other outpatient care areas where personal protective equipment is required in order to preserve PPE.
Emergent cases include but are not limited to: diarrhea with urgency or blood, vomiting, not eating more than a day, especially in older cats, lacerations, collapse, weakness, seizures, bloat, toxin ingestion, etc.
People are asked to call 970-728-4461 before coming in.
Restrictions such as bloodwork or annual exams will be relaxed for ongoing medications.
We will be open between 11-4 pm for medications, food, and emergent care.
